Hill House School is one of the leading residential schools for young people with autism in the United Kingdom. Our students often have some of the most complex needs and challenging behaviours on the autistic spectrum and will also have associated learning difficulties. The school was rated as “outstanding” by Ofsted in March 2006. The report can be downloaded from our website below. Admission can take place at any time during the school year.

Hill House offer a unique, personalised approach to each student’s learning and care needs. An individualised behavioural curriculum is implemented alongside an academic curriculum. We believe in a non-aversive positive approach; we do not believe in punishment in any form. Hill House draws upon a proven programme of Specialist Education, Specialist 24-hour Care and a wide range of Clinical and Therapeutic Inputs, including Speech & Language Therapy, Behavioural Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry and Psychology. Multi-disciplinary teams and high staff ratios ensure intensive individual support.

The school is located near the village of Boldre, near Lymington in Hampshire. The main school building is a large country house, set in 9 acres of grounds, with additional education and residential premises on the site.

A Parent Liaison Officer is available to discuss, in confidence, a child’s specific needs and we are delighted to help with any questions or to arrange a visit to the school. Please call 0800 288 9779.
