Grateley House School is a 38-week residential school for young people aged 9-19 who are experiencing difficulties as a result of Asperger Syndrome (AS) and other associated difficulties. Admission can take place at any time during the school year and throughout KS2,3,4 or in preparation for post-16. For students living close to the school there is flexibility for day provision.

Students have full access to the national curriculum with teaching appropriately differentiated to meet the needs of our young people. Grateley draws upon a proven programme of Specialist Education, Specialist 24-hour Care and a wide range of Clinical and Therapeutic Inputs, including Speech & Language Therapy, Behavioural Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry and Psychology. Multi-disciplinary teams and high staff ratios ensure intensive individual support. We offer extensive community-based programmes, vocational training and further education opportunities.

We are located in the village of Grateley, near Andover in Hampshire. The main school building is a large country house set in 8 acres of grounds with a wide-range of additional education and residential premises on the site.

Grateley House School is situated in a rural setting in the village of Grateley, near Andover in Hampshire and can be reached easily from Salisbury, Winchester, Newbury, Southampton and London.

Newbury, London: Take the A34 towards Winchester, turn off at Bullington Cross and take the A303 towards Andover. Take the exit marked ‘DLO’ and Monxton. Remain in the left hand lane up to the roundabout and take the left turning through ‘DLO’. Carry on this road for four miles. On the outskirts of Grateley you will see the Golf Driving Range on your left and, further on, The Plough Inn. Carry on and you will see Grateley Primary School on your right. Take the left turn opposite the primary school to Grateley House School.

Salisbury: Take the A30 towards Andover, turn left onto the B3084 heading through Over Wallop and carry on to Grateley. Take a right after the railway bridge and continue for a mile. Grateley House School will be on your right.

Southampton and Winchester: From Southampton head towards Romsey, then Stockbridge. From Winchester head towards Stockbridge. Go along Stockbridge High Street and out onto the A30 heading towards Salisbury. On the hill leaving town, keep in the right hand lane and turn right (signposted Danebury Hill Fort). Follow this road for approximately three miles until you reach a T-junction. Turn right (signposted Andover) then immediately left on the B3084 (signposted Grateley). At a minor crossroads, after approximately three miles, turn right into the village.
